Dentistry has always been a part of Dr. Cogsil’s life, as his father was the dental lab technician for Dr. Richard Cooper in North Palm Beach, Florida. So, after graduating from The Benjamin School in 1979 and then Wake Forest University in 1983, where he was a varsity swimmer and earned his Bachelor’s degree in physics, it was no surprise that Dr. Cogsil proceeded on to dental school at Case Western Reserve School of Dentistry.
Upon graduation, Dr. Cogsil immediately joined Dr. Donald Cooper’s practice in Stuart, Florida. However, his education did not stop once he had joined the work force; Dr. Cogsil has participated in the Atlantic Coast Dental Research Clinic for over 25 years. Through this continual education, he has gained specialization in implants and restorative dentistry on top of the general dentistry he practices. He is also a member of the ADA, AGD, and International Congress of Oral Implantology.
Outside of the office, Dr. Cogsil has been a husband to Rabe Cogsil since 1988 and is a father to two daughters, Taylor and Hannah. Taylor is currently attending medical school at Washington University in St. Louis, Missouri. Hannah is completing her studies at Southern Methodist University in Dallas, Texas. When Dr. Cogsil is not at the office or at home with his family, you can typically find him out on his boat fishing or kite boarding.
