Dr. Donald Cooper has been practicing dentistry since 1974. He attended the University of Florida for his undergraduate degree and later completed his Doctor of Dental Surgery degree at The Medical College of Virginia in 1974. With both his father and his uncle practicing dentistry, it was his childhood dream to follow in their footsteps.
During his early training, Dr. Cooper developed a special passion for the surgical aspect of dentistry which led him to extensively research the science of oral surgery. Along with his expansive background in family and cosmetic dentistry, Dr. Cooper has developed a reputation as a leader in the implant dentistry and full-mouth rehabilitation field on the Treasure Coast. Dr. Don was one of the first dentists to have incorporated implants into his practice, and with over 30 years of surgical implant placement experience, he has become an instructor of the Oral Implantology Residency program at the Atlantic Coast Research Clinic in West Palm Beach. Dr. Cooper has been a lifelong member of the American Dental Association, Florida Dental Association, Treasure Coast Dental Society, Academy of General Dentistry, American Academy of Implant Dentistry, Academy of Oral Implantologists, and Florida Dental Society of Anesthesiologists. Dr. Cooper grew up in North Palm Beach, Florida and has several passions beyond dentistry. His interests include deep sea fishing, aviation, and history. At the University of Florida, Dr. Cooper was a scholarship athlete, excelling in swimming. To this day, he considers himself a “Gator” and is a supporter of the university. He is married to Ellen and is the proud father of three grown children, Donald Jr., Jay, and Whitney.
